Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts is open to girls and boys aged between 8 and 10½. Each pack is named after an endangered animal in Oman.
We need more Regular Adult Volunteers to to enable us to run the Packs seperately and increase capacity. Please Volunteer !
The Cub Pack is led by Akela, a name taken along with all of our leader's names from the Jungle Book story.
When your child starts cubs they will be allocated to a SIX, which will be their own team.
Each Six usually has about 5 or 6 other cubs in and each six is given the
name of a colour which the members of the six displays by the colour of
their woggle. Each six has a sixer and seconder, this honour has to be earned
by being responsible and by showing a keen attitude in the scouting movement.
The sixer is responsible for the rest of his/her team and is expected to
be a good role model.
Cub Scouts move to Scouts anytime between 10 and 11 years of age (at leaders discretion).
